Need help with new job and anxiety

    Hi guys,
I have a new job as a support worker which I'm over the moon about. But, because of my HA, I've bottled a full time occupational therapist job (which is what I'm qualified for). It just seemed too overwhelming for me to work full time with the anxieties that I deal with day to day, so opted for part time support worker.
Should I be trying harder? I feel like I should be.
Thanks and hope everyone is well x

You haven't "bottled" anything..OTs are in such demand and in such short supply. You will be able to get back to full time work when you are better able to cope with all the demands this line of work throws at you on a daily basis.

I would say that support work is very hard work too. Much better to take on a part time position in order to build up your confidence and reserves again.

Good luck with your new job and look after your mental health? Don't take on too much and enjoy your time away from the job so that you have a good balance and don't exhaust yourself.
