I seem to have a new habit...
Without realising it I've been chewing and biting my lips causing flaky skin and sensitivity.
I'm not aware when I'm doing it and never done it before so it's a new one for me.

Hi Carnation, it’s a habit you’ll have gotten into without realising till you’ve made your lip sore, it probably started off a nervous thing like I fiddle with my fingers and before you know it your doing it more and more.

The only thing you can do is stop doing it as soon as your aware your doing it and eventually it will stop...xx

Strange how we pick up these habits.

    So now I'm spiralling
I've got red sores on the roof of my mouth and it actually hurts to eat.
Trying to work out the cause..
The tons of corsydol toothpaste I've been using?
The very hot food I put in my mouth (and nearly spat out) that I had last night?
An infection from the tooth /gums
    Or something more serious

    This.

I do this all the time. In fact the cottage pie last night was so hot I had to spit a mouthful out. The roof of my mouth is a bit sore but I’ve not looked.

I think this is a case of cause and effect.

Yep I definitely agree with Darksky on this Carnation. Those features you mentioned and suddenly you have ulcers. And that's all they are, ulcers. Nothing else

You might remember just over a year ago I had a 'mark' on the roof of my mouth. My dentist saw it and offered to refer me. Cue massive panic, but it was caused by my sleepwalking and drinking hot chocolate.

    Thanks you two

    It's unbelievably sore and red.
So I had to have a 99' ice-cream to shut up my moaning.
Darksky I should have spat it out, what an idiot I am. As if I haven't suffered enough with the tooth issue.
And yes, I do remember your mouth ulcer issue fishman.
I'll definitely check my food before stuffing it into my gob in future.

Re: Relapse! Coping, Symptoms and Tips.

Tooth /gum pain started up again. Damn, thought I was on the home run. I'm still not sure what's causing it but it seems to be my gums. It's half my top teeth and the bottom. Throb, throb and the occasional sharp nerve pain, hardly slept last night. And any food in that area aggruvates it. Where's a dentist when you need one.
As for the red sores in the mouth, they are no longer hurting but still there. My mind is escalating to mouth cancer Shouldn't say it but it's my thoughts hounding me.
On a good note I've stopped biting and chewing my lips.
Wish I could say the same for the teeth grinding.
All this going on when I'm in the process of moving.
Yes, I've found somewhere and that's a big thing to deal with. I'm trying to sort and Clearout stuff between the pain spasms. Lol, you have to laugh otherwise I would cry. Actually I have because this pain is no joke. Says on the Internet to see a dentist if pain lasts longer than 2-3 days. It's been 2-3 weeks for me. Urgh, no dentist, Internet should reflect the truth!
    Sorry, rant over
