Re: Panic attacks outside because of summer heat

It's hot again and I really hate summer from the bottom of my heart. I see people enjoying themselves and don't know how it's to be convinced that you will die this year. I was outside for five minutes tonight picking up delivery and it was bad. I've noticed that I need a lot of time to cool down when I go outside and come back home even with AC on. I need to lose a lot of weight, maybe that would help, I am not sure anymore.

It can help if you wear natural fibre clothing, preferably loose. Wear sunglasses and a hat. Keep hydrated but don't over drink. Strangely drinking hot drinks and eating warm food will cool you down more in the long run.
Popping out in the heat for a short while won't harm you.

I wear sunglasses and loose clothes but it's still a torture to be outside. I feel like last summer was yesterday, I am not ready...

Indoors the best tip I learned was to keep curtains closed and the windows closed. But, you have to remain indoors because the moment you go out into the heat it will never feel the same indoors

Cold showers too. Or a cold bath. I've got long dreadlocks so I soak my hair in cold water. Oddly my hair keeps my head cool.

It's very hot in my apartment, I am relying on AC but AC started to have some issues and the next week it will be 35 degrees. I hate summer.

I've read that SSRI's reduce the body ability to endure heat waves, it can even lead to death and I think that's the answer why I can't go outside anymore at summer. It's not just panic attacks, I really feel that something is wrong with me, I was seriously ill a few times because of heat and it wasn't 35, it was 28-30 degrees.
I am convinced I will die from heat.
It will be 37 degrees on Friday. My country is becoming more and more hot and I am really worried.
