Re: Have I got rectal cancer?
So, if the hangover option is rational, isn't the apple pie one too? So, all that is left is anxiety.
Now you have the choice to put your conscious mind into the apple pie conclusion and tell yourself the rest if anxiety and whilst it is uncomfortable it has not rational basis when it comes to cancer therefore it adds no evidence for or against and certainly does not outrank a scan from a specialist or a doctor's professional opinion of your history & symptoms.
Now turn to things to get you away from obsessing and on with something more normal and healthy. Let it pass. Then you can look back and know it was just about the unpleasant feelings it gave you.

I've now thought it may in part be the apple pie, but if it's not that could it be the Sertraline?
I went from 100-150mg 10 days ago and felt alright/didn't notice any side effects but I suppose the stomach aches started 7-8 days in
Should I just take 100mg from now on? I can do this because they give you 100mg and 50mg to take together, but I can just take an 100 or two 50s
This situation is so messy
Re: Have I got rectal cancer?
Bodies do stuff. I have a stomach ache myself right now; it's annoying but it's not a massive deal, I don't particularly care what caused it (probably unhealthy eating) and it won't stop me doing anything I want today.
Re: Have I got rectal cancer?
to both Iris and Scass
This feels like a massive deal because it links in to the rest of my problems and above all else it's so annoying, I don't get why I still have it
yeah I know it makes it worse, I'd hate for it to turn psychosomatic or something
It's driving me mad thinking about it
Re: Have I got rectal cancer?
You still have it because these things don't resolve instantly, that's all. It might feel like a big deal, but it isn't.

yes. 100%
I asked a while back about this thread being locked, stopped or generally put out of its misery as we`re now back to the same patterns from last year. Is any of this helping the OP, or any of the people replying who are trying to offer ideas and support?
way back in the thread I recall the OP light heartedly saying `imagine if this became the biggest thread ever?` as if it was all a big joke, maybe it`s time to pull the plug on this routine for a while?
your anxiety, boredom, or fear of adulthood is the problem here Toby, not some undiagnosed mass somewhere in your body.

It could be your med increase but if it only came on after eating the apple pie it's more likely that so why mess around with your med for potentially nothing?
Besides side effects from a med increase will go and unless they are unbearable you would try to push through to the other side of them anyway.
