citalopram and weight

has anyone suffered with putting on weight since being on citalopram?

Yes me. I lost a load when first on it as my anxiety went up, but now the anxiety and depression have subsided, I have put a fair bit back on. So its back to David Lloyds for me!

Hi, i was on Citalopram for 2.5 years.. and it was great!! it did make me eat more but i am very active have horses and a physical job... so maybe i exercised the extra food off. Think i only put on a few pounds in that time. I know they are known to cause some people weight gain, but if you try and eat healthy and regular exercise could help keep the extra pounds at bay!!!!!! hope this helps, good luck xx
