It's something I've often wondered about. I was saying to a friend of mine who also suffers from anxiety that mental illness has skyrocketed in the last 100 years (not that we're old enough to have witnessed it first hand, that's just our conclusion!). Anyway the link above suggests that it could be down to our diets. It certainly makes sense to me, as I've noticed my anxiety subsides slightly when I eat well and drink enough water. Thought I'd share this link with you all.
