Hi everyone
I have been doing really well with my health anxiety and completely out of the blue it is back!!
Basically I went to bed tonight and started having tummy pains.
Then I had really bad diarrhoea accompanied by bad wheezing, feeling breathless and shaking.
It’s the third time this has happened to me in about a year. But it’s the first time I googled these symptoms and BOOM there it is. Answer number 1. Carcinoid.
Anyone ever have any similar feelings?
I didn’t have any flushing but am convincing myself that the last time it happened I did. Which is another major sign.
I’m in a real mess. Can anyone help?

The first couple of times it happened I thought it was an allergy as both happened after wine. However this time I’ve had no wine

If you didn't have access to the internet what would you think it was?

Google is great if you've actually been diagnosed with something. Google also works very well with understanding anxiety and the stress response which a lot of anxious people never bother to do.

We all have a negative bias (it's there to keep us alive) and that means you've bypassed all the most likely causes of your symptoms (one being anxiety) and gone straight for the one that will end your life - but is the least likely cause.

If you must google - go for cute cats or 'how to recover from health anxiety'. :yesyes:

If it comes and goes i don't think its likely to he cancer. Cancer doesn't come and go. It gets worse over time. I agree with Joe, definitely stop googling. And if you are really concerned about a symptom have a talk with your doctor to put your mind at ease. Positive thoughts, I hope you feel better.
