Hello peeps and peepettes,
As some of you know, I just started driving again about 2 months ago after not driving for about 2 years. I was too scared to try and didn't trust myself at the wheel of a car.
Last night, Ed and I were invited to a Halloween party in Newcastle. It was at a mate's house that we had never been to before. Ed and I originally agreed that he would drive there and that I would drive back so that he could drink at the party. Well, Ed's drinking started a lot earlier in the day (I think he needed Dutch courage as I had dressed him up as a monk LOL) so I ended up driving there as well. The jouney is only about 20 miles each way but it was in the dark and I didn't know the way.
We got there safely although I was very nervous. I kept having to ask Ed if the way I was driving was ok. The way back was worse though - Ed was drunk (awwww bless) and I was pretty much 100% in charge. Ed kept saying "go faster, go faster!!!" even though I was already going 80mph!! He then hooted the horn at some poor bloke walking on the road and stuck his head out of the window and sang at the top of his lungs. LOL Funny but was making me so nervous. At one point, I felt this surge of panic rise up my back and through my head and I had to stop myself from pulling over...
BUT...we got back safely and I did it so I guess it's a success story.
Needless to say, Ed has had a massive hang-over today!!
