Hi all,
After a fairly long period of being well, I am in the midst of a fairly distressing relapse. I can pinpoint the trigger. A few weeks back, I heard a interview on BBc4 about a woman who had chronic tinitius. She was talking about how awful it was etc. I genuinely didn't think anything of it. Fast forward to a night out a a loud concert. I came home and my ears were ringing- then my brain helpfully served up the remnants of the interview I had heard and here I am. Now, I'm pretty sure that the ringing, such as it was, stopped sometime the next day.
However, the perceived ringing in my ears has not as the more I think about it, the worse it gets. I have been put back on medication which I am patiently waiting for to start working. I've been referred for CBT again but it's a very long wait :(.
Feeling genuinely upset and hopeless right now as I thought this was behind me.
Any words of advice or encouragement would be greatly appreciated.
Xx
