I accidentally had a bit of spit/saliva go down the wrong pipe last night before I went to bed. I had a coughing fit and got most of it to go away. It couldn't have been very much.
I woke up a couple of times in the night feeling like my chest and throat were irritated but I thought it would go away.
This morning I woke up and my throat and a little bit down are all irritated and I have a cough.
I'm terrified I'm going to develop aspiration pneumonia now :(
Has this happened to anyone where there was lingering irritation after something going down the wrong pipe?
