I've had a flu with a lot of coughing, phlegm, blowing my nose and low grade fever for a few weeks now and my eyes flared up red in a matter of hours on Monday. I went to see a doctor on Tuesday and she assigned me antibiotic eye drops. I've been using them since Tuesday evening now but my eyes don't seem to get any better. I've been following the instructions on the packet and have kept up general hygiene.
During the day my eyes feel dry and tired and when I wake up they're crusted over and blurry for the first 30 minutes after waking up. I have had several conjunctivitis infections growing up, but none have lasted this long. Most of them have cleared up within 48 hours of getting eye drops so I don't know what's up with this. At this point I'm scared of what will happen if it won't heal up any time soon, am I at risk of losing my sight?
