Muscle twitches --- valium does not work?

I've had panic attacks for 5 years. I take valium occasionally. Even while on the valium I STILL have muscle twitches, there is not relief. I know valium is used for spasms, is it normal that I still have twitches while on this medicine? Twitches that are (supposedly) benign and (supposedly) caused by anxiety. Anyone with insight, it's greatly appreciated.

It takes awhile. I got off of valium and I got them really bad. I went back on them and most all of the twictches are gone now except for one minor one in my finger that keeps on.. so I would say just give it a chance and it has to be regular doses not just when you need it.
