can I mix the two

Can I take 150mg sertraline in the morning and 10mg propranolol in the afternoon to quiet my mind ?

Hi I an assuming you where prescribed both meds by your Dr so in theory he wouldnt give you 2 meds that where not safe together, if in doubt check with your local chemist they know more than docs on drug interactions.

He gave me propranolol while I was on citalopram

I just checked my records and he gave me it with sertraline but 100mg dose

There is nhs website where you can put your meds in and find the interaction of them.

I rang one of the large branches of Boots Chemist one bank holiday to ask about meds and interactions and the pharmacist was really helpful.
Its a good idea to write the basic information of meds,strengths,ext,down before you make the call.
