ok so now i have a new worry

Hi, so i was looking in the mirror the other day, checking stuff as all good Health anxiety sufferers do and i was looking at the ridge that runs down the centre of my tongue, then i noticed that if i looked carefully i could see a faint dark line from where the ridge ended to the tip of my tongue, then i noticed that if i curled my tongue up at the end there was a little lumpy line in the middle on the tip, then if i relaxed my tongue theres was what looked like a tiny vein, so i am guessing it's the vein that is showing up as a faint dark line under the surface, anyone else have this? is it normal?

I have veins on the underside of my tongue yes.

I am going to be honest I have never intimately examined my tongue. If you are worried then might be best to visit your GP

I second that! I believe if you examine a specific area of your body in enough detail you can find something that's unusual or different but totally and completely normal.

Ande, sorry we haven't been able to give you the answers you were looking for. If you ask yourself whether or not someone who wasn't suffering anxiety would have noticed it then I guess that will be an indication.

Ultimately however if you are genuinely concerned then you should visit your GP as I have hung around here long enough to know that no amount of Internet forum reassurance will cut the mustard.
