    Morning after pill really worried.....

Hi everyone I don't know if anyone can relate.....

I took Levonelle morning after pill last month after an accident, I got my period a week later around day 23 cycle which is fairly early for me. Around day 14 of this cycle I had some brownish spotting which is normal but that's it. No usual symptoms and I'm now on day 33 and nothing. I get the odd crampy feeling but that's it nothing else. I've done a pregnancy test which was negative which I kinda knew it woukd be seeing as I had a period last month. Just wondering if this has happened to anyone else, I don't really know who to talk to. I have a gp call Wednesday.

    Thank you xx

I've never taken the morning-after pill, but I can imagine it could wreak havoc on your hormones!

I don't have this fear, so I felt safe looking it up, and here's what I found:

"Emergency contraception can delay your period. In fact, getting your period later or earlier than usual is one of the most common side effects of emergency contraception pills.

It's also pretty common to have some spotting in between taking emergency contraception and getting your period."

Sounds totally fine, but I'm sure your GP will put your mind at ease!
